Bio

Name: Kejin ??? (Left behind his old Last name. (actually working on a new one))

Age: 26

Earth/Sol Zodiac sign: Capricorn

Personality:

  • Almost never speaks openly. Generally, he only speaks when spoken too, asked a question that was specifically for him, or if it's important for others to know.
  • Tends to be cold towards new (and/or) disrespectful people/strangers. But can show his more silly side once trust has been earned.
  • As he tends to fear that others would consider him weak, or a liability, he tends to isolate himself and either get things done alone, or not even bother starting at all
  • His strong sense of Honor will prioritize good Karma over potential payout. And would strongly refuse to harm innocent civilians in any way. (whether physically or emotionally)
  • While in combat, he prefers to be slow and through whenever possible, and sees Stealth and Suppressed weapons as the optimal method for his path.

D&D Alignment: True Neutral (Good/Lawful) / Lawful Neutral (Good)

(Alternatively, you could say that to new people, he'd start off being pretty much the same as Squall Leonhart (Final Fantasy VIII & the majority of Dissidia Final Fantasy/Dissidia Duodecim) when a lonewolf, and then evolve into what he became by the end, or as seen in Kingdom Hearts 2. HOWEVER! Only to those that either he'd actually consider friends, (which he can be noticeably picky about) or those who've earned his trust.)

Background:

March 25 3300 Unlike many of the Prismatic Imperium members, he did not have a good childhood. Born within Federation space, his parents tried to raise him to literally be a workaholic. Spending all his life into doing work of some sort. And once Zachary Hudson became the President, even his basic rights was being trampled on. For example, "everyone makes mistakes", in his case, even when new to something, had to do his task right on the first try.

At the age of 21, His parents signed him up to train to be a Commander. Which was sort of a win-win, (or soon after, a Win-Lose) as Kejin was longing to have a ship of his own, and in his parents case, he'd be their bargaining chip towards whatever they've had planned with him. Maybe moving upwards in politics? Regardless, that's something that'll be left a mystery, as he do not want to find out.

April 28 3301 Upon graduation, (praised for his dedication in his studies, and how knowledgeable he were about the details early on.) one and a half years later, he thought that his parents would go easier on him, considering how important he is to them now. But unfortunately, their arrogance and greed haven't changed a bit, as he gets either little to no praise for his work, or scolded from showing any sign of "insubordination" (actually responding to his mistreatment), AND, he generally gets no more than 5% of the reward.

They tend to send him on Smuggling Runs, where they provide him with the location of the commodities they want him to buy from, as well as the credits for said commodities. But if there's either not enough in stock, or they cost more than originally calculated, then that extra expense's on Kejin, despite how little of a reward he gets from them.

They also have a tendency to demand the impossible. Such as that it is is basically fobidden for Kejin to get detected by Security once, or in other words, that he must succeed 100%, no matter what. Because if detected and Fined, he'd have to pay ALL of it. Which inevitably puts him of massive debts. And at the same time, demands double of the profit. (As if they were suddenly worth not 2x, but 3x their original black market values. 1 for the Fines, and the other 2 for profit)

May 12 3301 When he was on another smuggling run mission, he decided to escape from his home system of CPD-60 604. Starting with The Alliance/Edmund Mahons territory. But there was one problem he realized by the time he got there: despite his poor childhood, he was still (considered) a Federation Commander, and the Alliance may not welcome him with open arms so easily. Made worse by his (Fines turned---) Bounties. But by then, his parents have likely concluded that he "ran away". As a result, he was forced to pick 2 "poisons". Return and face the potential consequences that'll scar his mind for the rest of his life, or try to start a new life, despite poor start, and potential hostility. In the end, he choose the latter, since he did eventually figure out that Outposts was more secluded than the Stations, including the security, and thus was actually able to get started there.

However, by the time he have done about 3 simple Data Deliveries, It didn't take long before he was Interdicted by another Commander from the Alliance, demanding to know what Kejin was doing in Alliance Space. Between his “stolen”, stock Adder, and the Alliance Commander's well engineered Fer-De-Lance, odds were clearly against him, and it would’ve gotten worse, since he was already scared from running from the Federation, and trespassing on Alliance territory...

He plead for them not to hurt him, trying to convince that he's not from the Federation... not anymore, that is, and that he ran away. When he told the Commander a summary of what he's been through, (as per the Commander's request) he was asked to join the wing that the Commander was a part of. As well as helping him with clearing himself of being a Federal Commander. But instead of accepting Alliance "Citizenship", he choose to stay Neutral. Since he'd rather not "jump to conclusions" with siding with the Alliance or the Empire.

May 30 3301 Regardless, thanks to the wing's help, Kejin was both able to pay off his bounties, and quickly get better and better ships in a matter of weeks, while it would take a few years for his parents to keep up with him. At first, he went with the Alliance Chieftain, but he eventually ditched it in favour of the Krait Mk.II. Originally, it wasn't agile enough for his liking, but after more and more Engineers noticed him, and that he got sick of half of his Chieftain's weapons malfunctioning throughout the fights, he could upgrade the Krait's Thrusters to be just about perfect for him.

Also, he quickly learned some valuable combat experience. It was a hard decision between Bounty Hunter, and a Mercenary, but in the end, he choose the former, as the thought of Pirates, senseless murder/murder without motives, disgusts him, and want to at least try to make the galaxy a safer place.

However, at one point, he decided to leave the wing. (respectfully) Even if he has come a long way after escaping, he still couldn't put his past behind him, causing him to be somewhat... antisocial, and the only way to fix that, is to "conquer his past". And it has to be done alone.

Since then, for a few years, he have been working as your average, run-of-the-mill Freelancer, (leaning more towards Bounty Hunter-related, of course.) for any Power, EXCEPT for either one from the Federation.

August 29 3303 One day, as part of a contract offer through Mail, for the Empire, where he would escort an Orca with some ViP Imperials. He also formed a crush with the Orca Pilot.

August 30 3303 Later on, while doing some research on the 3 major Empire Powers, (not bothering with the Federation, due to his past.) at first, he was considering that he should've stayed with the Alliance since... although he was interested in the luxury that the Empire alludes, he's very skeptical about the Empire's legalized slavery. Especially with Zemina Torval, and he's not willing to dedicate his life to combat, should he choose Arissa L. Duval or Denton Patreus, and are focusing on the path to his future. And that's where Aisling Duval comes in. Putting her political emphasis on her people, without enforcing conflict or strict laws.

(Pranav Antal was an option, as he likes hi-tech gadgets too. However, there's just something about "stereotypically" religious "factions" that disgusts him.)

September 5 3303 One thing that he was unaware of, is that the Orca Commander from earlier, she was being loyal to Aisling's cause too.

Another benefit with pledging himself to Aisling Duval: he was sure that the only way for his parents to get him back, is by force/through violence. And they'd have to be really arrogant to start a war between the Federation and Empire, just to get ONE "defector" back.

And for the first time in his life, he actually felt at peace with his current life, and looked forward to the future...

About a month later (or two) after he became an official Imperial Citizen, and pledged to Aisling Duval, he got an invitation from the Prismatic Imperium organization. Where the ViPs on that Orca earlier was a Senator and a Commissioned Commander. Considering that he was invited by a pair of high status individuals, it wouldn’t feel right to at least NOT check it out. The state of his relationship with the Orca Pilot is still unknown.
