Zoe Dubios is born near a small but well known planetary outpost. She is the youngest daughter of Elliot Dubois, Post Commander in the Dalagritu Unionist military, and Ana Dulka, local commodities merchant. She is also the youngest sister of Clarice Dubois. Growing up, her mother unexpectedly passed only six years after Zoe's birth, her father now having to work twice as hard in order to provide.

Early life - 3300

Now at the age of 12, only 6 years after her mother's passing, the family dynamic had settled and Clarice, her older sister, had quickly risen to both be their father's favorite child and a mother figure for Zoe. Growing up to the age 14, Zoe had struggled with the love-hate relationship she and her sister developed and upon becoming rebellious, in order to repress her conflicting states, her father decided to ship her over to planet 4 e, where she would stay with her grandfather until the age of 18.

Being forcefully relocated to her grandparent's made Zoe grow apart from her family, and especially from Clarice. She saw her older sister only as an enemy whom she had to be in direct competition with, in order to earn her father's respect all over again. In her journey to a better self, her grandfather played a significant role, after the daily mandatory education, the elder would share stories about his time as an independent pilot. All the dogfighting, the incursions and the sightseeing she had been told about lead to an almost unhealthy obsession with the space around her. Moreover, learning about the past events that had led to the space age made the youngling only grow fonder of a future military lifestyle.

27th of January, 3306 - After pleads against enrolling that came from her grandfather, Zoe Dubois enrolls in the Dalagritu Unionist military, she is not a day older than 18. Her dream, becoming a fighter pilot just as her grandfather.

As the system wasn't too large by any means, the news traveled fast, her father swiftly learning about the enlisting and making sure that, unbeknownst to the youngling, everything went smoothly behind the scenes. After the initial selection, Zoe made sure to attend her father's military school, already starting to outshine her sister in his eyes, though very often experiencing difficulties. She was bullied constantly due to the special attention she received as a Commander's daughter. This leading to her getting kicked out just 2 months before her graduation due to a disciplinary incident involving another Post Commander. She had a short-lived transition into a shock-trooper academy which she graduated with barely enough attendance.

After graduation, she returned to her home. The visit is short-lived due to another altercation with Clarice, prompting her to get the scar she shamefully covers with her neck tattoo and a criminal assault record. She is further renegaded by her father. The 18 year old loiters around the settlement a couple of months aimlessly before another emotional encounter with her father causes her to flee the planet.

A helping hand from the Pilot's Federation - 3307

Traveling back to her grandfather's homestead, Dubois aids him in his last months alive. The two comforted each other as best they could, Zoe further expanding her knowledge on the history of the human race and political factions around the universe. She further learns, through an encoded message, the reason her father decided to break contact. Upon learning it, she diverged both emotionally and politically from her family, choosing to ask for a loan from her father in order to leave the system under the terms of never affiliating herself with either him or her sister. Upon leaving, she had swift contact with the Pilot's federation in Matet, she was accepted and rushed through the training due to her natural proficiency, growing fond of combat which integrated both hit-and-run tactics and swift knockouts, tactics which she learned from her military training under the communist regime.

Dubois finds herself in Chelomey Orbital, seeking a new life. Her time with the pilots, though fun, was short-lived due to boredom related incidents, Dubois finding that the rank-and-file lifestyle is quite hard to follow. Nowadays, she is looking to get more qualifications, striving to be better and better in order to fill the void that her family, specifically father, left behind. The girl has grown to hate communists to the point where she is ready to kill them at any point, regardless of consequences, her political philosophy extending to other extremist forms of government too.
