Tricked into slavery at a young age, Anne spent many years in servitude on and around Achenar. In 3302, due to the efforts of CMDRs supporting the Prismatic Imperium, she regained her freedom and pledged herself to the Princess, Aisling Duval. However, due to some poor choices, Anne found herself on the crew of a stolen fleet carrier known as the "Darkhorse."

Unable to safely leave the crew, Anne worked her way up the ladder, gaining the moniker: "Princess of Mayhem" or "The Mad Queen", and eventually took on the name of a mythical pirate from before Earth's computer age. With time, she maneuvered herself into a position of power and took the ship for herself by force.

Since the takeover, Anne earned her way into the Pilots Federation's CMDR program, paying her way with funds she acquired both before and after she "inherited" her former captain's etate. Over the years, Anne has gone by several names but has always retained her reputation with those that mattered. Her crew, known as the Darkhorse Crew, became known to be a formidable small band of privateers with a reputation of always finishing the job.

Grovichun is the home system of the Darkhorse Crew. Originally a smuggler's union, the faction has become a legitimate trade and mercenary organization working almost exclusively with the followers of the Princess Aisling Duval while still maintaining their independent status. This mix of legitimate business with the "rumors" of more nefarious activities allows the group to maintain a comfortable level of autonomy.
