Jukhand

Jukhand is a district of Capital City. It is is a large park connecting to Ciphoit Medical. It has a massive boarding center for the poor, winding wildlife trails, and a natural lake. There is a low density of large estates dotting the park and very limited transportation systems as most of the park is offset from the subsurface mega-structure the city is built on. The area has a large memorial ground for deceased citizens, many of which are buried here.

District News and Development Timeline

Date Events and News
A recent investment in the Jukhand District has been involved in a spiraling and ever growing scandal. The representatives of the district’s budget office reported that the funds were intended to go to improving and renovating the boarding center bordering the Rhombus District. Instead someone privy to the matter reported that the money instead went to district security forces. Upon further research, it’s been discovered that Dark Dajin Enterprises is behind this unauthorized shift in funds, aided by the head of the budget office. Many are calling for a corporate corruption investigation as it is believed that DDE is attempting to take control of district security. Stay tuned as this story unfolds!
The budget office of Jukhand is finally able to begin the construction project that has been months in the making. Renovations, replacements, improvements. These are the hot topics surrounding the boarding houses that border the district of Rhombus. It’s well known the Jukhand’s housing situation has always been underhanded, and recent investments coming in will be allocated to seeing it improved and renewed. Although it has been reported that strongarm attempt was made by one of the investors to completely derail this project, the committee has stayed true to their plans. In addition to the housing improvements, excess money will be funneled into the Ruby Rapid Response system. Jukhand will be receiving one of the special stations designed to receive Rapid Response officers from Vigor’s Ruby Citadel. We look forward to seeing the project’s completion!
Danger in Jukhand, or the boy who cried wolf? One of my reporters spoke with residents and patrons of the Jukhand park and surrounding neighborhoods about the alleged crime of the district and found that the homeless are being accused of unscrupulous behavior. It was reported prior that the boarding house was receiving a much needed facelift and updated. While it would not be far-fetched for criminals to merely pass through the district, accusations towards the harmless homeless is something far from the truth. They might be unsightly, they might be dirty, but they are not dangerous, and with the new housing they’ll be receiving the district will become a much cleaner place. With this reporting we have also discovered Vigor is using the Ruby Rapid Response for the first time as they send officers to inspect the Jukhand district, this is exciting as it will showcase what investment funds can do!
Jukhand has received another round of investment funds that seem to be on hold for the time being, although rumors swirl that the district officials plan on using the money for additional housing for the poor. This charitable move is looked down on by many, but those same people are also glad to see homeless people off the streets and somewhere safe. It’s a rather confusing sentiment, but I for one am glad things are being done!
New park amenities are rumored to be brought in and constructed in the Jukhand district as a new investment is underway. This follows the completion of the new and updated housing for citizens on welfare and the homeless. This is part of a larger vision to improve the public perception of Jukhand as a whole. Keep yours eyes on this story as it develops even further!
Jukhand has received yet another investment boost, and it’s reported that the money will be allocated to the improvement of the district’s park pathways. Patrons have been complaining over the past couple of weeks about the state of the paths, some being in a state of disrepair or decay, and have called upon city officials to do something about it. Well it’s finally happening! A list of pathways will be completely re-paved with fresh new materials that are environmentally friendly, and ergonomically friendly! So we hope that your next visit to one of the many parks of Jukhand is a pleasant one!
New groundskeepers are slated to be hired very soon for the Jukhand cemetery, with the park path improvements finished, the next step in making Jukhand pretty again is to touch up the cemetery itself, polishing gravestones and keeping the whole place clean, lawn manicures will be taking place as well to prevent foliage from becoming overgrown. This has been a long time coming as the district has faced, and still faces, harsh criticism for its unsightliness. Make sure you take some time to pay your respects to those lost, and possible lost loved ones, and enjoy the beauty Jukhand has to offer.
