District Map

Ruby Citadel is a district of Capital City. It is a military base and the headquarters for the Branch of Vigor. The district features a large rounded command center and adequate housing for active personnel. The areas around the central structures are covered in parks which hide the subsurface network of hangers and transportation systems. A large surface lot is filled with Vigor trucks while subsurface depots hide platoons of drones. There are also hundreds of ships stored here.

The main part of the complex with its donut-shaped main building is located on a hill in the southern part of Capital City. While not necessarily a tall building itself, its location causes it to tower over the city just like other skyscrapers nevertheless.

It has underground levels connecting to public and private transport and hangar bays, circular hallways going around the entire building, and a rooftop with some visitor areas and the Ruby Rooftop Bar. The rooftop also occasionally hosts the Ruby Rooftop Concert. Alternatively, events, including concerts, are held in one of the several celebration halls of varying sizes inside the building.

The Ruby Citadel also houses the Vigor Museum of Defense and Security.

District News and Development Timeline

Date Events and News
The budget for Vigor’s Ruby Citadel has been increased thanks to a new investment boost. It’s reported that the money will be allocated for improvements in personnel housing and accommodations. Several anonymous complaints have been levied and reported and I’m here to tell you that the call has been answered!
With the housing improvements complete, the budget has shifted to better pay for Vigor employees and officers. While no complaints have been reported about poor pay, senior officials have stated that they want to improve the quality of life for their staff. A bold and noble move I must say, hopefully their budget will allow this to continue for some time towards the future.
Good news! Ruby Citadel has received another substantial investment and their internal Department of Management Services couldn’t be more ecstatic! With a new fiscal year approaching, budget planners are pleased they are able to keep the increased pay for employees across the board. It’s reported that what money is left over will go towards facility improvements and maybe even a new snack bar!
A recent investment into Vigor’s Ruby Citadel has taken a turn in the red. Questions have swirled around as to what could have happened. Where did the money go? Is the rest being allotted for new renovations? Or perhaps the funds are being budgeted for Vigor employee bonuses? The answer is quite shocking, actually. Someone familiar with the situation, among others who have been consulted, stated that the Vice Warden spent the remaining investment funds on plushies! This was confirmed when a handful of citizens reported an excessive amount of assorted plushies scattered about one of the citadel’s court yards! Whether this was on purpose or an accident is yet to be determined.
A new Rapid Response system is being worked on at Ruby Citadel to allow Vigor to better respond to incidents across Capital City. The idea is that this system will move officers swiftly and efficiently to various districts across the city in the event of a crisis or even simple civilian distress calls. Vigor officers have expressed their gratitude that something like this is being implemented. The system will include a subterranean transit system that will link with several other transit systems as well as adding additional stations specifically for the Rapid Response system. One person dubbed it the “Ruby Rapid Response”. We look forward to seeing it in action!
The Ruby Rapid Response system has seen its completion! This is exciting news for citizens of Cubeo III as this will allow for Vigor officers to quickly respond and appear to calls of disturbances and crime through the city. There are rumors that this system will eventually expand beyond Capital City, but those are just rumors.
The Ruby Rapid Response system has proven to be a great success as the Lord Warden has expressed his interest in investing into its upkeep. It had a successful first run as Vigor officials were deployed to the district of Jukhand to help maintain district security as the boarding house received its much needed upgrade. We hope that the RRR system sees more use and success in the future!
An investment into Ruby Citadel from the Lord Warden himself has been reported and it appears their budgeting office intends to use the money to refresh the culinary options offered at The New Sun! A reporter has spoken to several employees and they are beyond excited to have something new and fresh and try during their working hours. One employee stated, “I’m glad we’re moving to a completely new menu, this old stuff was.. well, getting old. I look forward to having new snacks and drinks to try during my lunch and coffee breaks!”
Expansion of the Ruby Rapid Response system has gone underway as the Lord Warden expressed interest in its upkeep and improvement. It’s quite possible a large portion of it will contain an escalated catastrophic emergency response system. Although the details of such improvements have been kept underwraps, it’s nice to know the safety of the citizens is the top priority!
Quality of life improvements have been explicitly described by the Lord Warden themselves for Ruby Citadel. With the ever expanding Ruby Rapid Response, the current direct focus seems to be employee accommodations. From new cafe menu items to better housing for Vigor agents, no expense is spared when it comes to making sure Vigor employees are well taken care of thanks to new investment funds into Ruby Citadel! The ever improving Branch of Vigor looks to the stars with each new day.
Ruby Citadel has received another investment boost from the Lord Warden themselves! The goal this time is to improve services for citadel guests, comfort for those of the outside is of utmost importance when it comes to keeping appearances and maintaining a positive PR. No expensive is spared as the budget office plans to add a new cafe specifically for incoming visitors! Not only is a new cafe being built, but the guest restroom facilities are receiving a seemingly much needed upgrade, with new sinks and tile and ambient lighting. You can guarantee your next visit to Ruby Citadel is a pleasant one!.
New investments into Ruby Citadel from the Lord Warden themselves have been reported! This go around seems to be focused on improving the facility’s many, and heavily used, lifts! A focus is being made on their structural integrity, as well as their appearance, giving visitors of Ruby Citadel a comfortable, and pleasant ride up and down the many floors of the building. This coincides with plans for guest relations improvements, so we hope your next visit to Ruby Citadel is a pleasant one.
