The '''Tarydium Monument''' is a monument in the [[Jukhand]] district that honours the workforce that made [[OPERATION TARYDIUM|Operation Tarydium]] possible.

== Description ==
A side path curves up and around a small hill. Behind a couple of trees you end up at a stone monument standing in a square pool of water. Water flows down organic ridges on the front face of the monument. A low cobblestone wall hides the path below from view. A couple meters before the clearing you encounter a pedestal with a plaque. To the left of the path a bench stands below a tree, facing the basin with the monument.

Just before the monument there is a plaque with an inscription. It partly parafrases a poem from ''Amelia Brooks'' in a publication called ''Echoes of the Heart'', released in 2493.

Wellspring Philanthropic is a charity organization founded by [https://www.prismatic-imperium.com/user_page.php?user=499 Marina Yao] on 04-21-3307. It was originally formed to act as a shell company that would pay CMDRs for work done in the Lu Wu Guan system to assist The Silent Guardians. This was done in an effort to replace SDT Mercantile with The Silent Guardians as the controlling faction in the system. Marina percieved SDT Mercantile, a Corporate faction, to be exploiting the workers and people of the system, and thus sought to replace them with the Cooperative faction The Silent Guardians. The organization was originally formed as the "Lu Wu Guan Worker's Relief Fund" to reflect it's focus on the Lu Wu Guan system. After the Lu Wu Guan campaign, the organization restructured into a permeant charitable organization and changed its name to Wellspring Philanthropic on 05-15-3307. The organization operates out of Raven Tower, where it has its main offices. It currently focuses on funding humanitarian relief campaigns around disaster relief. It also continues to work at influencing faction control in a variety of systems.
 
==Lu Wu Guan Worker's Relief Fund==

On 04-21-3307 [https://www.prismatic-imperium.com/user_page.php?user=499 Marina Yao] created the Lu Wu Guan Workers Relief Fund as a shell company that could pay diamond rewards to CMDRs for assisting The Silent Guardians in Lu Wu Guan. Marina was born in and grew up in Lu Wu Guan. She perceived SDT Mercantile, the Corporate faction in charge of the system as corrupt. It notoriously underpaid its workers and forced them to work in extremely unsafe working environments. Marina herself lost two siblings to accidents caused by SDT Mercantile negligence. The original shell company fund provided by Marina was 50,000 diamonds ({{discord|https://discordapp.com/channels/205356098293727233/338128432947003392/834501867027169290}}). Over the course of a month, the majority of these diamonds were paid out to independent CMDRs for work done in Lu Wu Guan.

 
==Lu Wu Guan Control War==
Assisted by CMDRs, The Silent Guardians rocketed up in influence in Lu Wu Guan. On 04-27-3307, just six days after the campaign began, The Silent Guardians went to war with SDT Mercantile for control of Ortiz Moreno Hub, a Coriolis station, the largest station in Lu Wu Guan, and Marina's birthplace ({{discord|https://discordapp.com/channels/205356098293727233/338128432947003392/836656617063055380}}). The war was fairly bloody. On the last day of war, in a desperate attempt to reduce the number of active TSG pilots, SDT instituted a polity of "Green Ship Baiting." They used weak Imperial Eagles that were green (not wanted or part of the war) to interdict TSG war ships. The war ships, being interdicted, returned fire on the manned green ships, killing the pilot and flagging the TSG ship for murder. This method of Green Ship Baiting was largely ineffective, though it did slightly reduce the effectiveness of TSG ships near the end of the war.

After five days of war, the war officially ended on 05-02-3307 with a Silent Guardian victory ({{discord|https://discordapp.com/channels/205356098293727233/338128432947003392/838507784890482748}}). The Silent Guardians took over control of Ortiz Moreno Hub from SDT Mercantile, who were left with no controlled asset. Overall, the efforts of the Lu Wu Guan Worker's Relief Fund brought The Silent Guardians from 9.1% to 52% control in the system, and SDT Mercantile from 68.2% to 19.6% control in the system. It is still the stated goal of Wellspring to reduce SDT Mercantile to 1% control in Lu Wu Guan, but little effort has been made since reducing SDT to ~20%.

==Rebranding to Wellspring Philanthropic==
Lu Wu Guan served as proof to Marina that relatively little numbers of Diamonds could make big differences on the Galactic Stage. Following her success in Lu Wu Guan, Marina decided to restructure the fund into an actual permeant charity organization. Originally, the fund had 5 diplomats on staff. This was expanded to over 30 staff of a variety of disciplines during the restructuring. Marina became Wellspring's first president, and [[Siva Gupta]], a diplomat that had worked in the Lu Wu Guan Worker's Relief Fund, was promoted by Marina to Deputy Vice President of Wellspring. [[Kristiina Law]] became head scientist, [[Karl Wolff]] became head assembler, [[Risto Aalmers]] became head engineer, and [[Laylah Adams]] became head stockbroker.

Since rebranding, Wellspring has engaged in a number of relief efforts. Most of its work has been focused on providing relief supplies, including medicine to systems suffering outbreaks and water to systems suffering drought. Wellspring has also taken an interest in Evermore. It helped provide engineers to assist in the repair of a factory in Evermore, and has made comments supporting relief efforts for the locals. After the [[Taki Genocide]], Wellspring helped source 100 assemblers to create [[Arachnid Spawn Countermeasure]]s to protect against [[Arachnid Spawn Grenade]]s and other devices that utilize Spawn Spiders as a weapon.

Forculus Chronometry, together with other organizations, is meant to mislead ill-intended foreign investors using a multitude of absurd business strategies and layer the most confusing business scheme in the Empire. It also makes popular jewelry such as the Holographic Wrist Clock, the Waist of Time, the Time Stopper, and the Ankle Clock.

The People's Media is a government controlled Mega-Media Center directing all aspects of culture, recreation, entertainment, and news. Its programs include fashion tailoring, park creation, city beautification, and Imperial-centered art. The People's Media contributes over 92% of Aisling Media Materials distributed across all systems supporting Aisling Duval's policies.

The Howell Vineyards are a popular wine production area north of [[Capital City]] on Cubeo 3, traditionally run by the Howell family for many generations.

=Structure=

The Howell Vineyards stretch across a fairly large area north of Capital City, not far from a highway. They have roughly a thousand employees that either live across the residences throughout the Howell lands or commute from Capital City.

Gloria Howell started an initiative to have an additional store location in [[Raven Tower]] in Capital City. The opening of the store was sponsored by Senator Marina Yao and the Bear family.

This store has reserves to sell to customers as well as areas for tastings and making deals with potential clients that want to get shipments from the Howell Vineyards. Every now and then, employees from the vineyards come over to the store to get special representation and participate in store activities and events.

Under Gloria's supervision, Alyssa Monroe runs this particular store. Other staff members of the store are Kira Manato, Akihiro Nakamura, and Will Clarke.

=History=

Only little is known about the Howell vineyards before Gloria Howell's birth and the eras of Gabriel Howell's ancestors.

Gloria Howell was born into the Howell family in 3276. She is an identical twin, born just about fifteen minutes after her sister Gina. They grew up on the Howell Vineyards, a traditional family wine business about half an hour of a ride north of Capital City. Both sisters were expected to integrate into the wine business and take over the vineyards after their parents.

They had a great childhood until things suddenly changed in 3289. It was supposed to be a very special day for the twins as it was the first time their parents took them to space. The Howells went to Chelomey Orbital for a special business export arrangement. To allow them to experience the wonder of space and a space station they took their kids with them, giving them to a local childcare service during the business meeting. As the kids were playing with other children that had busy parents on the station, one of the caretakers took Gina away. Furious to find Gina gone when they wanted to pick the kids up again, Gloria's family immediately alerted station security and began a search. It was too late. The caretaker was found hiding and questioned until he confessed that he wanted to hold the girl hostage in an airlock for ransom. Something went wrong and the airlock opened before he even started his extortion. They were too late; Gina's corpse could not be found. They would never see her again. The caretaker was scheduled to be executed for his crime.

The tragedy created a stir. News articles spoke about the "Howell Tragedy" at length and how a horrible crime like that could happen. The family was devastated and mourning for a long time. In a very bittersweet way, the incident and the people's compassion with the Howells gave the business more attention than ever before and increased sales of Howell wine significantly. After some time of coping with the situation, a special memorial for Gina was built into the eastern wall of the manor of the Howell Estate.

The Howell business continued and slowly left the public shadow of the Howell Tragedy over the next dozen years. When the politics in the bubble began to change and Aisling Duval started controlling Cubeo with a progressive and populist view, the vineyards were affected by the ban on Imperial Slavery. Of course, like pretty much every business of that kind, the Howell vineyards had also relied on labor from Imperial Slaves. The ban imposed several challenges to overcome and they adapted quickly - earning them a lot of positive press coverage. It was not possible to just turn all the slaves into fully paid employees. Cuts had to be made as the higher standards made it impossible to keep the same number of workers. Nevertheless, the Howells made sure every single worker from Imperial Slavery was freed of their debts. They either got a very reasonable formal and well-paid employment offer or were sponsored to find new opportunities elsewhere, mostly in Capital City. Since the Empire values manual human labor and frowns upon robot automation, there was the problem of keeping the vineyards running with fewer employees. To address this situation, they came up with the concept of Companion Drones. Every worker has a personal Companion Drone that assists with tasks that do not need the "human touch" to make Howell wine the best wine north of Capital City. It mixed the advantages of valued human employees with an acceptable level of automation from the helper drones. Again, the vineyards got some media attention that improved their reputation. As of today, the Howell Vineyards have around 1000 employees, spread across the vineyards with apartments near the main estate, additional housing across the fields, as well as some commuting from Capital City.

For Gloria, things were not always easy after she became a single child of the Howell family. As she grew older, she became somewhat sick of the prospect of continuing the vineyards. She wanted to get away from it, the pressure of being expected to take over, and the haunting memories of Gina. While she was still proud of her family's legacy, she discovered an interest in stories and reporting. The criminal incident with Gina might have awoken an interest in stories of heroes fighting crime. To her fortune, her parents supported her and allowed her to do whatever she wanted. The loss of Gina had changed their view - they just wanted their only remaining daughter to be happy. Around the age of 20, she moved to the city of Portstown and started her first job as an independent journalist. There were little of the exciting and dangerous stories she was hoping to tell, but she still enjoyed her work. After years of low-scale writing there, she got hungry for more and decided to move to Capital City itself.

Things changed again for Gloria when she met Lord Warden Mystler and Vice Warden Catherine Edmunds dating on Trapeze in 3306. She took the opportunity to offer her services and start press coverage for the Branch of Vigor, which would benefit from it a lot as it was rebuilding its reputation after the Vigor in Peril drama. The Lord Warden would later accept the offer and Gloria would start working on her "The Heroes of Reality" program, telling stories of members of the Branch of Vigor and the Overseers, raising awareness for the people that protect the citizens of Cubeo and beyond on a daily basis.

That was not all that changed though. Catherine recognized Gloria's appearance and after some questioning realized that Gloria is the twin sister of Gina. Gina was not killed in an accident back on Chelomey - the entire thing was staged by a criminal organization and Gina was, in fact, kidnapped alive. Her memories were wiped and she was raised under the codename of "The Tulip", indoctrinated to be an agent, infiltrator, and assassin of the organization called "The Order". The Order aimed to influence and rig the area of nearby systems to their own vision of what the Empire should be, all from the shadows of a hidden base. Catherine was abducted the same way as a child (her codename was "The Orchid"). Gina and Catherine were friends - as far as the Order allowed that - also trying to beat each other on a "scoreboard" of who is the better agent. After many years together in the Order, Catherine had a miraculous incident that made her slowly regain her memories and realize the terror she was part of. Catherine ended up destroying the Order and its base from within. In the process, she fought and killed Gina.

Catherine decided to tell Gloria the truth, even if it hurt. Catherine saw an innocent and free version of her former "friend" and wanted to start a friendship with Gloria. Nevertheless, she underestimated the impact that telling Gloria would have on her. Gloria was filled with rage. She hated Catherine for telling her the truth after it had taken her so long to come to terms with the only old version that her family knew. She hated Catherine for not saving Gina when Catherine was able to save herself, denying that Catherine tried to emphasize that she saw no way to redeem Gina. She hated Catherine for having such a dark past yet being alive and happy in a Vice Warden position when Gloria had to deal with the fact that her sister was a dead murderer. The rage festered and turned into an obsession. It reached the boiling point when she decided to take up an invitation by Catherine. After some conversation, Gloria wanted to serve "justice" and "retribution" herself and pulled a gun on Catherine. She was close to pulling the trigger, turning herself into a murderer as well. However, Catherine managed to talk her out of it and offer her the ear and the help Gloria needed to process her inner turmoil. The two decided to start over and try becoming friends.

Their friendship grew rapidly after that as the two women reinforced each other in different aspects of their lives. For Catherine, it was having a real friend, better than the Tulip before. Gloria on the other hand started to admire Catherine for her strength in everything she has been through. Gloria would eventually end up Catherine's best friend, also serving as maid of honor at Catherine's wedding.

Shortly before the wedding, Gloria also met Marina Yao for the first time. Marina was a new CMDR that quickly gained a lot of reputation as an independent reporter. She reached out to Marina to jump on the train and use her to get more attention, offering a partnership of independent reporters. Gloria got much more than she expected as Marina turned out to be a great and generous friend, offering her a new space right next to her in Raven Tower. Marina also got both of them into an affiliated position with Rupey Bear at The People's Media.

In the following weeks, Gloria and Marina got closer and closer. They shared their traumas of lost sisters on while visiting the Howell Vineyards, had a dangerous deep sea adventure, and even had to cope with the two of them accidentally killing a manned ship together. They went through a lot together, in just a short amount of time, all the while reinforcing each other and making each other happy like never before. Just like Marina, Gloria began to realize that she had deeper feelings for Marina. Both of them had to discover their feelings on their own at first until, with a little bit of help from Catherine, they finally talked about it, kissed, and started a relationship.

Gloria's family was then challenged as the Dawes Group Holdings megacorporation from Achenar attempted to buy their vineyards for commercialized mass-production as part of their beverage empire. The Howells resisted that takeover despite the enormous sum that was offered, trying to protect their identity and principles. Dawes followed by acquiring the competing Ortega vineyards instead and running a smear campaign against the Howells. They also bought all Howell stock in an attempt to make it unavailable for consumers, favoring Ortega wine instead. Luckily, the Howell Vineyards got a lot of support, most notably by the Bear family and Lady Rupey Bears position in the People's Media. Howell wine started to become more of a special rare commodity for connoisseurs while Ortega wine proceeded to take over the cheap market.

Alongside Marina, Gloria started to rethink what she wants from life. She started to feel more responsible and interested in her family's business. However, since running the vineyards still wasn't something that she considered herself capable and qualified for, she instead decided to take initiative in opening and running a new Howell Vineyards Capital City Wine Store in Raven Tower. It would become her main project alongside being a reporter for "The Heroes of Reality".

With help from Marina, who contributed trading licenses, and the success of the new store in Capital City, the Howell Vineyards' market stabilized, their reputation grew, and they signed a lot of export deals to make Howell wine more accessible outside Cubeo, in other areas of the Empire as well as the Prismatic Imperium's Adamantine Union region.

A very emotional time came when Marina wanted to do something special for Gloria: acquiring her sister's body. Marina had reached out to Catherine before but received a denial. However, after Gloria and Marina happened to meet a former victim that was manipulated by the Tulip and Gloria even saw a picture of her sister, Catherine realized Gloria's deep connection to her sister. She trusted Marina with the location and Marina went on a dangerous expedition to recover Gina's body. Following that, Gloria was confronted with sadness but also with closure that her sister's body was finally returned. Together with Marina and Catherine, they went to the Howell Vineyards and held a small funeral, welcoming her back home.

Duke Dalton Greyfield is the current Duke of the Greyfield Estate Complex in Zespea. He took over as duke from his father when his father died in a tragic accident when Dalton was only 17. Since then, he has not courted any women. He has also rebuffed the courtings several women have made at him over the years.

Dalton Greyfield has six uncles and aunts who control the other six branches of the Greyfield Estate. All his uncles hold the title of Lord, while Dalton Greyfield, who runs the center of the estate, holds the title of Duke.

Ruby Citadel is a district of [[Capital City]]. It is a military base and the headquarters for the [[Branch of Vigor]]. The district features a large rounded command center and adequate housing for active personnel. The areas around the central structures are covered in parks which hide the subsurface network of hangers and transportation systems. A large surface lot is filled with Vigor trucks while subsurface depots hide platoons of drones. There are also hundreds of ships stored here.

The main part of the complex with its donut-shaped main building is located on a hill in the southern part of Capital City. While not necessarily a tall building itself, its location causes it to tower over the city just like other skyscrapers nevertheless.

It has underground levels connecting to public and private transport and hangar bays, circular hallways going around the entire building, and a rooftop with some visitor areas and the Ruby Rooftop Bar. The rooftop also occasionally hosts the '''Ruby Rooftop Concert'''. Alternatively, events, including concerts, are held in one of the several celebration halls of varying sizes inside the building.

The Ruby Citadel also houses the '''Vigor Museum of Defense and Security'''.

Someone familiar with the situation, among others who have been consulted, stated that the Vice Warden spent the remaining investment funds on plushies! This is the scientific part of the Prismatic Imperium. Sight is responsible for general science and research, as well as exploration, astronomy and the education of young Cubeans in its headquarters, the [[Emerald Observatory]], one of the biggest universities in the Empire. It regularly organizes expeditions to places across the galaxy, while also trying to solve all the mysteries that encompass it. Since the return of the Thargoids and the discovery of remains from the Guardian civilization, Sight has also founded several Xeno Divisions for research on alien species and the protection of humanity with both peaceful and military methods.

BGS work in the bubble (missions, bounty hunting, conflict zones, trading, and more) fall under Vigor. Part of the Branch of Vigor, known as the Adamantine Union Task Force, is spreading freedom from slavery in the name of the Prismatic Imperium outside the space belonging to Princess Aisling Duval. It has shut down many slave markets, including the infamous one in Uibuth, via our Adamantine Union protectorate states. Vigor is responsible for maintaining all our minor factions in the bubble and also helps with external Aisling Duval BGS operations. Its headquarters are in the [[Ruby Citadel]] in southern Capital City on Cubeo 3.

Evermore

The Great Valley of Evermore (or just "Evermore") is a large expanse of territory roughly 500,000 square kilometers in size. It is located far to the north of [[Capital City]] between the area of Cubeo III controlled by the Prismatic Imperium and Cubeo Patron's Principles. It is known to be very rich in natural resources.

=Geography=
Evermore is bordered on the east by a large ocean. To the west, it is bordered by expansive jungles and mountains. The Evermore region has a highly diverse geography, containing mountains, volcanoes, jungles, forests, plains, deserts, coasts, marshlands, swamps, and extensive river deltas.

=Neighboring Factions=
To the north is territory controlled by Cubeo Patron's Principles (CPP). The CPP cities of [[Bauschinger City]] and [[Molina City]] border Evermore, with the main road through Evermore passing through the latter. To the south, Evermore borders territory controlled by the Prismatic Imperium (PI). The PI cities of [[Cappadocia North]] and [[Caelfall Cove]] border Evermore. The main road passes through the former.

=History=
Several hundred years ago, settlers from Achenar began populating the Evermore region. Multiple colony ships landed and began setting up a variety of settlements, including some of the largest modern day cities in Evermore. These settlers were sent to Cubeo III by the ancestors of [[King Delray]].

At some point shortly after the original colonization effort begun, Achenar severed communications with the settlers of Evermore for unknown reasons. Since that time, the People of Evermore have developed on their own, with very little contact with the outside world. At this time, Evermore was one united political entity, ruled by the Evermore family for which the valley gets its name. The most influential member of the Evermore family was [[Princess Mallory Evermore]], who was the last ruler of a United Evermore. She is known as a very competent ruler. She was responsible for expanding Evermore to the territorial extent it is has today. She also funded many public works projects, the most notable of which was the construction of a large number of statues of herself. Many of these statues still exist and can still be seen in the valley today.

After the fall of the Evermore family, the region began to decline. The political structure fractured, and the unified government collapsed. This resulted in the settlements splintering off into a patchwork of independent city states with no central government. Over time, these settlements developed their own disparate cultures. Some people continued to live in the cities that were built during the colonization, but many others ended up in semi-tribal societies. Some tribes are nomadic while others utilize semi-permanent villahes.

=Language=
The people of the valley have developed their own micro-language in addition to galactic common. The language, called Maristii, only has a few dozen words in it. However, the language is largely contextual and these few words can mean a variety of things in different contexts. Most people in most settlements speak galactic common in addition to Maristii, but some tribes are known to only speak the Maristii language.

=Modern Conflicts=
In recent years the valley has become a powderkeg of political activity. Around the year 3303, [[Duke Earl Hart]] declared his intentions to conquer the valley for the Prismatic Imperium. Over the years, Hart has met with limited success. He has successfully occupied several small Evermore cities far away from the main concentration of settlements. However, he has been unwilling or unable to commit the military firepower needed to conquer the densely jungled and highly populated settlements in the far north of the valley.

In 3306, King Delray sent an envoy to the Prismatic Imperium seeking validation of his ancestral claim to the valley. The Prismatic Senate granted the King's request, giving the King a casus belli for a reconquest war of Evermore. The Senate also recognized the legitimacy of Duke Earl Hart's claim, setting the stage for a war of great powers in the valley.

In 3307, in anticipating of a Delrey invasion, Duke Earl Hart retreated from his extended position in order to solidify his power base and prepare for an attack. It is believed that if King Delray invades with the intent to conquer Evermore, Hart will declare war as well, potentially leading to a direct war against a PI aligned Duke and a King of Achenar.

Siva Gupta is a well known philanthropist and diplomat who was born and raised on [[Cubeo III]]. He has a long career of work across the planet, but he is most well known for his role as president of [[Wellspring Philanthropic]]. He had a prestigious upbringing. His father was a wealthy and influential noble with Cubeo Patron Principles - a fact he has tried to distance himself from in his older age.

==Childhood==
Siva Gupta was born in [[Bauschinger City]] on [[Cubeo III]] on October 26th, 3221.He was the 6th son in a large family. His father, who was an avid patron and benefactor of a [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sikhs Sikh] [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gurdwara Gurdwara] in the city sent Siva there during his formative years to be trained as a [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Granthi Granthi] and steep himself in the religion. The young Siva bucked against this decision of his father, preferring to have been sent to a standard Imperial school in the city with his friends. His father refused him this, and forced him to attend the Gurdwara and train to become an [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khalsa Amritdhari Sikh].

Siva did not take to his training well, and at the age of 16 he ran away from the Gurdwara with a serving girl from a local restaurant named Haasini. The children fled south together, into the Evermore jungle. Both wanted to escape from their pasts and start a new life together. They attempted to head south to the territory controlled by the fractured Evermore tribes - who they believed would take them in as refugees from the Empire. This plan did not work, and the pair soon became lost in the jungle.

The pair spent the better part of a year living in the jungle together. Siva used survival training skills to make a wooden hut for them to live in. With food abundantly available in the forest, and the assistance of several modern supplies they had brought with them, they lived a comfortable enough life in the beginning. Things took a turn for the worse when Haasini became pregnant. Siva wished for them to return to the city, but Haasini, fearing the wrath of her vengeful father, refused. Haasini and the baby died in childbirth later that year. Devastated, Siva buried Haasini and the baby before returning to civilization.

==Young adulthood==
Upon returning to Bauschinger City, Siva's father was overjoyed. He relented, and instead of sending Siva back to the Gurdwara sent him to the Imperial school. Siva attempted to forget his past, and threw himself into his schoolwork. He worked incredibly hard, and proved himself quite adept at the diplomacy track in school. After finishing his schooling he attended Emerald University in [[Capital City]] and began studying to be a diplomat. At the age of 27 he graduated and was accepted into the [[Cubeo III Diplomatic Corps]].

==Work as a diplomat and first marriage==
Siva was transferred from Capital City to [[Zespea]] where he met his future wife Meher Alexander - a secretary for the Diplomatic Corps offices in the city. They were married in 3251 when Siva was 30 years old. Siva worked as an administrative official, whos job it was to mediate disputes between CPP cities. He excelled at this task, rising rapidly through the ranks.

Though his career life was going well, his personal life was not. His marriage with Meher was highly strained, and in an attempt to solidify their marriage and solve their problems they had several children. By the time Siva was 42, he had five children with Meher. This did not solve their problems, and their marriage continued to deteriorate until they got divorced two years later. Ironically, their relationship improved somewhat after their divorce, and they remain friends to this day.

==Work as a philanthropist and second marriage==
After his divorce, Siva suffered a "mid-life crisis" of sorts. He realized that while he was good at diplomacy, it wasn't where his passions lay. At the age of 45 he made a career change and began working in the area of philanthropy. He began his philanthropic work as a conservationist, working with animal rehabilitation shelters and zoos around the planet. During this time he also rediscovered his Sikh roots, and began exploring the religion on his own terms. Over time, he would come to be a devout believer, and adopt many of the practices of the religion.

His career path changed once more when he met his second wife - Anastasia Rosa - at a philanthropic convention off world on [[Capital]]. Anastasia worked as a diplomat for a consortium of Imperial philanthropic groups, and the pair quickly hit it off at a cocktail party during the event. Siva discovered through Anastasia that his true passion lay in philanthropic work for the downtrodden in society. Anastasia was the first to introduce Siva to progressive ideals within the Empire - something that was still widely frowned upon at the time.

In 3278 the pair were married when Siva was 57. The two worked together for nearly a quarter century, focusing their philanthropy largely on the Cubeo system. Their work was disrupted when the Prismatic Imperium burst onto the scene. Anastasia took this disruption as an opportunity to retire, as she was beginning to have health complications from her prolonged exposure to hazardous materials growing up. Siva continued to work through the chaos of the system restructuring under the Prismatic Imperium.

==Wellspring Philanthropic==
In April of 3307, Siva was contacted by senator Marina Yao and recruited to be the Deputy Vice President of the Lu Wu Guan Workers Relief Fund - the precursor of [[Wellspring Philanthropic]]. Siva agreed, as he saw this as an opportunity to use the power and influence of a CMDR to drive a great deal of philanthropic work. Within a year, Marina Yao had resigned from Wellspring, allowing Siva to take over as the organization's president.

The Howell Vineyards stretch across a fairly large area north of Capital City, not far from a highway. They have roughly a thousand employees that either live across the residences throughout the Howell lands or commute from Capital City.

Gloria Howell started an initiative to have an additional store location in [[Raven Tower]] in Capital City. The opening of the store was sponsored by Senator Marina Yao and the Bear family.

This store has reserves to sell to customers as well as areas for tastings and making deals with potential clients that want to get shipments from the Howell Vineyards. Every now and then, employees from the vineyards come over to the store to get special representation and participate in store activities and events.

Under Gloria's supervision, Alyssa Monroe runs this particular store. Other staff members of the store are Kira Manato, Akihiro Nakamura, and Will Clarke.

Only little is known about the Howell vineyards before Gloria Howell's birth and the eras of Gabriel Howell's ancestors.

Gloria Howell was born into the Howell family in 3276. She is an identical twin, born just about fifteen minutes after her sister Gina. They grew up on the Howell Vineyards, a traditional family wine business about half an hour of a ride north of Capital City. Both sisters were expected to integrate into the wine business and take over the vineyards after their parents.

They had a great childhood until things suddenly changed in 3289. It was supposed to be a very special day for the twins as it was the first time their parents took them to space. The Howells went to Chelomey Orbital for a special business export arrangement. To allow them to experience the wonder of space and a space station they took their kids with them, giving them to a local childcare service during the business meeting. As the kids were playing with other children that had busy parents on the station, one of the caretakers took Gina away. Furious to find Gina gone when they wanted to pick the kids up again, Gloria's family immediately alerted station security and began a search. It was too late. The caretaker was found hiding and questioned until he confessed that he wanted to hold the girl hostage in an airlock for ransom. Something went wrong and the airlock opened before he even started his extortion. They were too late; Gina's corpse could not be found. They would never see her again. The caretaker was scheduled to be executed for his crime.

The tragedy created a stir. News articles spoke about the "Howell Tragedy" at length and how a horrible crime like that could happen. The family was devastated and mourning for a long time. In a very bittersweet way, the incident and the people's compassion with the Howells gave the business more attention than ever before and increased sales of Howell wine significantly. After some time of coping with the situation, a special memorial for Gina was built into the eastern wall of the manor of the Howell Estate.

The Howell business continued and slowly left the public shadow of the Howell Tragedy over the next dozen years. When the politics in the bubble began to change and Aisling Duval started controlling Cubeo with a progressive and populist view, the vineyards were affected by the ban on Imperial Slavery. Of course, like pretty much every business of that kind, the Howell vineyards had also relied on labor from Imperial Slaves. The ban imposed several challenges to overcome and they adapted quickly - earning them a lot of positive press coverage. It was not possible to just turn all the slaves into fully paid employees. Cuts had to be made as the higher standards made it impossible to keep the same number of workers. Nevertheless, the Howells made sure every single worker from Imperial Slavery was freed of their debts. They either got a very reasonable formal and well-paid employment offer or were sponsored to find new opportunities elsewhere, mostly in Capital City. Since the Empire values manual human labor and frowns upon robot automation, there was the problem of keeping the vineyards running with fewer employees. To address this situation, they came up with the concept of Companion Drones. Every worker has a personal Companion Drone that assists with tasks that do not need the "human touch" to make Howell wine the best wine north of Capital City. It mixed the advantages of valued human employees with an acceptable level of automation from the helper drones. Again, the vineyards got some media attention that improved their reputation. As of today, the Howell Vineyards have around 1000 employees, spread across the vineyards with apartments near the main estate, additional housing across the fields, as well as some commuting from Capital City.

For Gloria, things were not always easy after she became a single child of the Howell family. As she grew older, she became somewhat sick of the prospect of continuing the vineyards. She wanted to get away from it, the pressure of being expected to take over, and the haunting memories of Gina. While she was still proud of her family's legacy, she discovered an interest in stories and reporting. The criminal incident with Gina might have awoken an interest in stories of heroes fighting crime. To her fortune, her parents supported her and allowed her to do whatever she wanted. The loss of Gina had changed their view - they just wanted their only remaining daughter to be happy. Around the age of 20, she moved to the city of Portstown and started her first job as an independent journalist. There were little of the exciting and dangerous stories she was hoping to tell, but she still enjoyed her work. After years of low-scale writing there, she got hungry for more and decided to move to Capital City itself.

Things changed again for Gloria when she met Lord Warden Mystler and Vice Warden Catherine Edmunds dating on Trapeze in 3306. She took the opportunity to offer her services and start press coverage for the Branch of Vigor, which would benefit from it a lot as it was rebuilding its reputation after the Vigor in Peril drama. The Lord Warden would later accept the offer and Gloria would start working on her "The Heroes of Reality" program, telling stories of members of the Branch of Vigor and the Overseers, raising awareness for the people that protect the citizens of Cubeo and beyond on a daily basis.

That was not all that changed though. Catherine recognized Gloria's appearance and after some questioning realized that Gloria is the twin sister of Gina. Gina was not killed in an accident back on Chelomey - the entire thing was staged by a criminal organization and Gina was, in fact, kidnapped alive. Her memories were wiped and she was raised under the codename of "The Tulip", indoctrinated to be an agent, infiltrator, and assassin of the organization called "The Order". The Order aimed to influence and rig the area of nearby systems to their own vision of what the Empire should be, all from the shadows of a hidden base. Catherine was abducted the same way as a child (her codename was "The Orchid"). Gina and Catherine were friends - as far as the Order allowed that - also trying to beat each other on a "scoreboard" of who is the better agent. After many years together in the Order, Catherine had a miraculous incident that made her slowly regain her memories and realize the terror she was part of. Catherine ended up destroying the Order and its base from within. In the process, she fought and killed Gina.

Catherine decided to tell Gloria the truth, even if it hurt. Catherine saw an innocent and free version of her former "friend" and wanted to start a friendship with Gloria. Nevertheless, she underestimated the impact that telling Gloria would have on her. Gloria was filled with rage. She hated Catherine for telling her the truth after it had taken her so long to come to terms with the only old version that her family knew. She hated Catherine for not saving Gina when Catherine was able to save herself, denying that Catherine tried to emphasize that she saw no way to redeem Gina. She hated Catherine for having such a dark past yet being alive and happy in a Vice Warden position when Gloria had to deal with the fact that her sister was a dead murderer. The rage festered and turned into an obsession. It reached the boiling point when she decided to take up an invitation by Catherine. After some conversation, Gloria wanted to serve "justice" and "retribution" herself and pulled a gun on Catherine. She was close to pulling the trigger, turning herself into a murderer as well. However, Catherine managed to talk her out of it and offer her the ear and the help Gloria needed to process her inner turmoil. The two decided to start over and try becoming friends.

Their friendship grew rapidly after that as the two women reinforced each other in different aspects of their lives. For Catherine, it was having a real friend, better than the Tulip before. Gloria on the other hand started to admire Catherine for her strength in everything she has been through. Gloria would eventually end up Catherine's best friend, also serving as maid of honor at Catherine's wedding.

Shortly before the wedding, Gloria also met Marina Yao for the first time. Marina was a new CMDR that quickly gained a lot of reputation as an independent reporter. She reached out to Marina to jump on the train and use her to get more attention, offering a partnership of independent reporters. Gloria got much more than she expected as Marina turned out to be a great and generous friend, offering her a new space right next to her in Raven Tower. Marina also got both of them into an affiliated position with Rupey Bear at The People's Media.

In the following weeks, Gloria and Marina got closer and closer. They shared their traumas of lost sisters on while visiting the Howell Vineyards, had a dangerous deep sea adventure, and even had to cope with the two of them accidentally killing a manned ship together. They went through a lot together, in just a short amount of time, all the while reinforcing each other and making each other happy like never before. Just like Marina, Gloria began to realize that she had deeper feelings for Marina. Both of them had to discover their feelings on their own at first until, with a little bit of help from Catherine, they finally talked about it, kissed, and started a relationship.

Gloria's family was then challenged as the Dawes Group Holdings megacorporation from Achenar attempted to buy their vineyards for commercialized mass-production as part of their beverage empire. The Howells resisted that takeover despite the enormous sum that was offered, trying to protect their identity and principles. Dawes followed by acquiring the competing Ortega vineyards instead and running a smear campaign against the Howells. They also bought all Howell stock in an attempt to make it unavailable for consumers, favoring Ortega wine instead. Luckily, the Howell Vineyards got a lot of support, most notably by the Bear family and Lady Rupey Bears position in the People's Media. Howell wine started to become more of a special rare commodity for connoisseurs while Ortega wine proceeded to take over the cheap market.

Alongside Marina, Gloria started to rethink what she wants from life. She started to feel more responsible and interested in her family's business. However, since running the vineyards still wasn't something that she considered herself capable and qualified for, she instead decided to take initiative in opening and running a new Howell Vineyards Capital City Wine Store in Raven Tower. It would become her main project alongside being a reporter for "The Heroes of Reality".

With help from Marina, who contributed trading licenses, and the success of the new store in Capital City, the Howell Vineyards' market stabilized, their reputation grew, and they signed a lot of export deals to make Howell wine more accessible outside Cubeo, in other areas of the Empire as well as the Prismatic Imperium's Adamantine Union region.

A very emotional time came when Marina wanted to do something special for Gloria: acquiring her sister's body. Marina had reached out to Catherine before but received a denial. However, after Gloria and Marina happened to meet a former victim that was manipulated by the Tulip and Gloria even saw a picture of her sister, Catherine realized Gloria's deep connection to her sister. She trusted Marina with the location and Marina went on a dangerous expedition to recover Gina's body. Following that, Gloria was confronted with sadness but also with closure that her sister's body was finally returned. Together with Marina and Catherine, they went to the Howell Vineyards and held a small funeral, welcoming her back home.

She hated Catherine for telling her the truth after it had taken her so long to come to terms with the only old version that her family knew. She hated Catherine for not saving Gina when Catherine was able to save herself, denying that Catherine tried to emphasize that she saw no way to redeem Gina. She hated Catherine for having such a dark past yet being alive and happy in a Vice Warden position when Gloria had to deal with the fact that her sister was a dead murderer. The rage festered and turned into an obsession. It reached the boiling point when she decided to take up an invitation by Catherine. After some conversation, Gloria wanted to serve "justice" and "retribution" herself and pulled a gun on Catherine. She was close to pulling the trigger, turning herself into a murderer as well. However, Catherine managed to talk her out of it and offer her the ear and the help Gloria needed to process her inner turmoil. The two decided to start over and try becoming friends.

Their friendship grew rapidly after that as the two women reinforced each other in different aspects of their lives. For Catherine, it was having a real friend, better than the Tulip before. Gloria on the other hand started to admire Catherine for her strength in everything she has been through. Gloria would eventually end up Catherine's best friend, also serving as maid of honor at Catherine's wedding.

Shortly before the wedding, Gloria also met Marina Yao for the first time. Marina was a new CMDR that quickly gained a lot of reputation as an independent reporter. She reached out to Marina to jump on the train and use her to get more attention, offering a partnership of independent reporters. Gloria got much more than she expected as Marina turned out to be a great and generous friend, offering her a new space right next to her in Raven Tower. Marina also got both of them into an affiliated position with Rupey Bear at The People's Media.

In the following weeks, Gloria and Marina got closer and closer. They shared their traumas of lost sisters on while visiting the Howell Vineyards, had a dangerous deep sea adventure, and even had to cope with the two of them accidentally killing a manned ship together. They went through a lot together, in just a short amount of time, all the while reinforcing each other and making each other happy like never before. Just like Marina, Gloria began to realize that she had deeper feelings for Marina. Both of them had to discover their feelings on their own at first until, with a little bit of help from Catherine, they finally talked about it, kissed, and started a relationship.

Gloria's family was then challenged as the Dawes Group Holdings megacorporation from Achenar attempted to buy their vineyards for commercialized mass-production as part of their beverage empire. The Howells resisted that takeover despite the enormous sum that was offered, trying to protect their identity and principles. Dawes followed by acquiring the competing Ortega vineyards instead and running a smear campaign against the Howells. They also bought all Howell stock in an attempt to make it unavailable for consumers, favoring Ortega wine instead. Luckily, the Howell Vineyards got a lot of support, most notably by the Bear family and Lady Rupey Bears position in the People's Media. Howell wine started to become more of a special rare commodity for connoisseurs while Ortega wine proceeded to take over the cheap market.

Alongside Marina, Gloria started to rethink what she wants from life. She started to feel more responsible and interested in her family's business. However, since running the vineyards still wasn't something that she considered herself capable and qualified for, she instead decided to take initiative in opening and running a new Howell Vineyards Capital City Wine Store in Raven Tower. It would become her main project alongside being a reporter for "The Heroes of Reality".

With help from Marina, who contributed trading licenses, and the success of the new store in Capital City, the Howell Vineyards' market stabilized, their reputation grew, and they signed a lot of export deals to make Howell wine more accessible outside Cubeo, in other areas of the Empire as well as the Prismatic Imperium's Adamantine Union region.

A very emotional time came when Marina wanted to do something special for Gloria: acquiring her sister's body. Marina had reached out to Catherine before but received a denial. However, after Gloria and Marina happened to meet a former victim that was manipulated by the Tulip and Gloria even saw a picture of her sister, Catherine realized Gloria's deep connection to her sister. She trusted Marina with the location and Marina went on a dangerous expedition to recover Gina's body. Following that, Gloria was confronted with sadness but also with closure that her sister's body was finally returned. Together with Marina and Catherine, they went to the Howell Vineyards and held a small funeral, welcoming her back home.
